Ditsaan, Ramain, Lanao del Sur, Philippines—Dr. Sherifa Rohannie K. Adiong, President of Adiong Memorial State College (AMSC), successfully completed the prestigious Wharton CHED 2025 In-Person Networking and Executive Reflection Program from December 3-5, 2025, at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

President Adiong joined a selected cohort of Philippine higher education leaders who participated in the program, which serves as the concluding in-person component for completers of a rigorous two-course online executive certificate program. This initiative is an integral part of the Commission on Higher Education’s (CHED) HUSAY Scholarship Grant, designed to enhance the strategic leadership and global competitiveness of selected administrative heads in the country’s academic institutions.

The three-day engagement, held at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, USA, provided a high-level platform for intensive networking and reflective dialogue on the challenges and future of higher education. The program's focus areas, as highlighted by other participants in similar Wharton executive programs, included the following: first, Executive Reflection Sessions, these are deep-dive discussions with Wharton academic directors on applying world-class business insights to institutional transformation and leadership challenges; second, Global Networking through building a robust, high-caliber network with international executive peers and faculty, fostering potential partnerships and cross-program collaboration; and third, the awarding of certificates from The Wharton School, formalizing the participants' completion of the preceding intensive online certificate program.

The knowledge and strategies acquired from the Wharton Executive Program are expected to be instrumental in advancing AMSC’s strategic priorities, particularly in quality assurance, digital transformation and strategic leadership. By applying the insights gained from Wharton’s world-renowned faculty and curriculum, the State College is poised to propose significant institutional reforms.

Furthermore, the successful completion of this program is a significant milestone for Dr. Adiong as President and AMSC’s commitment in reinforcing their dedication to providing a globally competitive and high-quality educational environment for their students and the communities in the BARMM they serve.
